When you think of education these days, equality should come to mind. Children know and understand things that they can see or hold, but what about conditions that a child can't see? Would your child understand something they can't feel or look at? How can your child learn about the over 28 million people in the United States with a substantial hearing loss? With a number like that, it's important that your students grasp what deafness and Deaf Culture is and how to interact with people who are deaf or hard of hearing.
